"Merch" is what the online YouTube/Twitch/Instagram etc personalities get their fans to pay for. A big moneymaker that supplements their take of ad revenue on those services. Often comes in the form of shirts, hoodies, hats or other branded gear. And in an age in which younger folks are often isolated yet still have the ancient urge to continue their genetic line, leftist merch lets the lovely ladies at Antifa rallies and your parents' MILF vegan neighbor know you really mean business.
