Report: Coal-Power Plant Closures Near Record High Under Trump
If the pace of U.S. coal-fired power plant closures in 2019 continues throughout 2020, more plants will have shut down during President Trump's first term than during President Obama's second term, according to data compiled by the federal government and Reuters.
Obama was shutting down plants before Trump came along. And we still have a significant percentage of electricity generated by coal. So the folks who produce coal are very wary of anything Dems propose. And you are half black so I guess you're only half racist. Your black side can't be racist.
The difference is the Obama administration went after coal fired plants. The Trump administration's push for energy independence produced a lot of natural gas that of course is cheaper than producing coal so more plants switched to that. You would think the libs would be happy with a much cleaner burning fuel but they don't want any fossil fuel used. So when Biden shut down Keystone and put a moratorium on Federal land drilling it was certainly noticed in coal country. They know how the Dems feel about them.
