Michigan District gone.

I'm a driver in the metro Detroit district what does this mean for me?
Probably nothing, depending on you years of service. The lack of volume and the consolidating of routes is your worry. These district realignments will mainly effect people in the district offices.

this is just the beginning. I eagerly anticipate the next move of the ups gods. maybe they can help the lions in thier search for a coach. oh wait... (maybe the future lions coach has just been laid off in Grand Rapids)

Same thing at Midsouth. The letter they read said to talk to your Manager on Wednesday. Well it is Wednesday night...and no one had any information at work today. You know that they know exactly what they are going to do. Why keep us in suspense? You can forget Corporate cutting costs, I really liked the UPSers.com statement that stated that Corporate was downsizing through attrition. I thought they were supposed to be losing jobs... like last year. Until recently you could go to the UPS jobs site and see all kinds of openings for Corporate. I don't know if they filled the openings...but it would not suprise me if they were.

You may not believe it but corporate is definitely downsizing. The corporate office has had a growing number of empty cubicles for the past year... the unfortunate part is that these cubicles were once occupied by talented young low-paid specialist, supervisors, and managers that moved onto better opportunities. The cubicles/offices that are not vacating are the high-paid Divies, 20s, DMs, and above. Great succession planning... :dissapointed:

We lost our district years ago, our center has been kicked around like redheaded orphans ever since. I had heard we are about to me moved to a different district soon also, but at this point it's still just a rumor.

Post us pics of your center being moved. Will you be able to drive to the new location or will you have to move?

I think your opinion is a bit high! :wink2:

Actually, it can. There is talk of reducing the number of preseason games to 2 and adding 2 to the regular season so 0-18 is a possiblity.

I am old enought to remember when Tampa Bay went 0-26. They were a fun team to watch.

Great!! That gives my Lions two more chances to suck.
