Some I guess were holding out hope that 2020 was a fluke, and surely, the Dems would get smashed in 2022 with the worst two year track record in decades. Figured if anything other than an arse whipping took place, that is all the evidence needed that they are cheating and the GOP is willingly or naively going along.

Or it could mean that people were afraid that if they voted Republican people like you would be running the country. All it takes is for right wing wingnuts to start spouting off about killing the government etc and Democrats jump on that as proof that the whole Republican Party has gone insane. Unfortunately too many independents believe that too.

Nancy Pelosi's son and John Kerry's stepson were both involved at different points with Hunter Biden in his business dealings. Chelsea Clinton got a huge paycheck right out of law school without experience. They're all raking it in up there. The question is, besides the obvious corruption, did anyone sell access to themselves while in office and especially did that access compromise the security of the United States?

house results - republicans picked up 16 seats in 2020 , they're plus 8 with more to count in this one.
some of the gains are in New york and california which is tough for a republican to do.
senate is basically a stand still and was expected to be difficult election for the republicans this term and expected to be much more republican friendly in the next election.
republicans picked up 6 million more votes in this terms house races over 2020.
not having a read wave ignores the fact the voters have been incrementally moving to the red party.
