Multiple people shot at FedEx facility near Indianapolis International Airport...

The point is this: There are many insane people walking about freely. If they get a gun it makes it much easier to kill more people faster. If they can’t get a gun, their targets will probably have a better chance of surviving.

Yes so make it so that the many insane people are not eligible to get a gun. That won't interfere with those other sane people exercising their rights.

The problem with that is it could be used as a tool to ban and/or take away guns from people who don't have mental issues. It runs into Constitutional issues of violating their due rights.

A gun is just a more efficient killing tool, but it's just a tool. The problem is wackos. A gun can't kill someone without wacko directing it to do so.

Another far right white nationalists using an assault rifle to kill people. It's a shame so many adolescents prefer playing soldier with semi auto rifles, and were not man enough to join the real military.

Assault rifles are a type of machine gun - that is, according to the ATF, a gun that fires more than one round each time the trigger is pulled.

Gun guys need to get ahead on this stuff. None of it is fair for responsible people. These mad/crazy/macho dudes need an outlet to vent. Be proactive and reach out to these guys no matter their background. Use your podium $ wisely. It’ll save you down the road. Technology (WILL) catch everyone.... get on it.

Have to agree 100 percent. Unless there is a secure outer perimeter around a facility, anyone could enter with the right timing. As in am or pm sorts. My FedEx location is pretty secure if all the overhead doors in the warehouse are closed. Then, the only unimpeded entry is the customer counter. But there have been at least two times where customers walked right into pm operation because the overheads were open. Apparently, the Closed sign at the outside customer entrance didn’t apply to them.

I know a local UPS center where it’s quite easy to walk right in. Others are more fortified.
My station is surrounded by barbed wire fence. Only the customer entrance isn't inside the fence, and have to scan ID to get past there. Only managers and CSA's can scan that door. UPS station a mile away can just be walked right in to.
