New hire, question about breaks

Hey all,

Been at it for a few weeks now as a package handler and learned that our 15 min break we sometimes get is apparently unpaid. I looked up the labour laws on this and it says that if a coffee break is issued, then it must be paid. What should I do?

You're not talking about the break between shifts when working a double right?

Where im at everyone gets a 10 min break during a shift which is paid. They have been doing individual breaks for months due to covid.

Yeah they'll just stop the belt, but someone told me today that the clock also stops for that. Gonna verify that tomorrow with a supervisor but after that, guess it's to the union?

You should quit. That'll show 'em.
