New Hire with questions over new contract vote

So I just got hired and am scheduled to start Tuesday, and I've been lurking around after stumbling upon here. However, I have noticed that lots of people are talking about this new contract, why it sucks and how its probably going to pass. So basically my question is, how ed are we?

If you plan on becoming a driver and making this your career. Expect a lengthy wait. If this new driver position gets voted in. Its gonna be over a decade wait to become a mon-fri top rate delivery driver.
