You don't have to be an active employee to ask/answer a question like that.

LOL so now you want UPS to honor some imaginary thing you FEEL is right.

My former center would have made sure that he was either put to work or called ahead of time to tell him to stay home. No way they would have made him stand around for 2+ hours and then sent him home without pay.
