All the charging stations you see have been entirely paid for by users and investors. This technology would win with no favoritism. The biggest manufacturer and charging station provider is out of favor with feds.

You're just going to get more dysfunction in the future because the commies favor dinosaur Detroit dropouts and will use tax money to support them and their infrastructure.

But the largest charging network in existence was entirely self-funded.
How many EV's have I seen that were subsidized with tax payer money?

I asked you if you heard what Kamala said that day about high speed internet access for all. No response.

Who will be paying for or subsidizing those that cannot afford this access?
It's a cautionary tale. If you have ears, hear it.

As for the "Detroit" car manufacturer bailout, they all would have had a trip to bankruptcy court, restructured the debt and sunk or swam without my money. If I want to give them my money I will purchase their product.

Part of the cautionary tale

Today, the White House announced new progress on the Administration’s goal to accelerate and deploy electric vehicles and charging stations, create good-paying, union jobs, and enable a clean transportation future. This includes actions by federal agencies:

  • The Department of Transportation announced guidance on how grants can be used to deploy charging infrastructure and newly designated alternative fuel corridors;
  • The Department of Energy announced new funding and partnerships for charger-related research and development; and

Smells of federal dollars, the federal government gets "their dollars" by confiscation under the US Tax Code, from taxpayers not limited to users or owners of electric vehicles.

Correct.
But 35,000 charging stations have already been built, with no federal help, by a non-union company the feds discriminate against, which is still making money hand over fist.

That proves it can and would continue without federal help.

Detroit and their dumb unions need federal help to compete with Tesla. That's all you've proven.

I don't support bailouts or federal help for anyone. Kamala is the dumbest VP in history. And I've seen everything you're referencing, though I have no idea why you reference any of it.

EV's would dominate without federal help, and the largest EV maker already is dominating while getting less federal money than any other car maker.

Yes, the feds will be throwing your money at all their commie goals. I know.

I think you just said, by implication, you have a higher net worth than rod or he's an idiot or both.
Then again, maybe you just said you don't care about cash.
No, I'm willing to spend the money on the toy. Maybe he's not.
Complaining that a new technology is expensive is a complaint about all new technology.

The super-rich get it. Then the rich get it. And it trickles down as efficiences improve and manufacturing scales up. That's the way every single technology works.

EV's used to be 100k. Now a perfectly good one can be made for the price of a regular new car.

Soon, they'll be cheaper than combustion.

In the middle of a market crash, crazy inflation, and supply chain crisis, how many manufacturers are doubling production and still limiting pre-orders because they can't fill demand?

They made 250k. No, they made 500k. No wait, it was 1M.

No, this year, it's 2 million, and they're cutting pre-orders off. lol

Yes, it's an all-out institutional attack on Tesla.

The feds hate Tesla. The so-called rivals hate Tesla. The bankers organized a 10 year illegal shorting campaign on the stock to drive it out of business.

The latest thing isn't going to matter at all.
A 10 year illegal shorting campaign got trolled in return, with Tesla short shorts.

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Volkswagen Chattanooga announces pay and signing boosts for their employees.

They are offering a $3000 bonus to all production and maintenance workers.

The company also will give the bonus to anyone hired between May 16 and October 31. (And they’ll add $2,500 for people who move here to take a job… eligibility is based on IRS regulations)

Volkswagen Chattanooga has been adding jobs to produce new electric vehicles, but, like everyone else, is having trouble finding the workers.
