Travelling from Earth and bringing our pathogens, to anaerobic Mars, will kill the colonists almost as quick as mechanical failure will cause them to freeze to death.
Mars spends most of the year around -100°friend and dips to -220.
The clostridium botulinum bacteria that inhabits nearly everything on Earth will sprout with a vengeance and quickly poison the colonists.

Colonizing Mars is hubris... A fate that often befalls megalomaniacs like Elon.
You should send an email to his technical team.

I'm sure they've never heard of one of the most common bacteria on earth.

Just wondering how running the heater and defrosters effect the range. Or air conditioning in the Summer months.
Good questions-----I didn't notice any appreciable difference when I ran the AC or used cruise control in the summer. I haven't used the defrosters all that much yet.

Thus far I couldn't be any happier with my decision to go EV.

We normally have temps in the single digits and below zero in the Winter months. 90's and high humidity during the Summer. Can't believe you haven't used the defrosters much. I thought you guys were in the snow belt.

Sure, they've heard of it... Just like they've heard of COVID. Is COVID under control, despite all the world's effort? The reason botulinum is contained on Earth, is because it is exposed to oxygen in the daily activities of man, because we are constantly "bathing" in oxygen.

On Mars, with an atmosphere too low in pressure to ever boil water, every single thing you come in contact with will have to be autoclaved or pressure cooked. An inconvenience, people like Musk and his "followers" (for lack of a better description,) doubt have the fortitude to maintain in their daily lives.

Only semi-crazy hard azzes that actually enjoy suffering, scrounging, and putting up with mountains of $#!+ just to survive, have any chance of lasting a modest amount of time up there. That doesn't sound like Elon, and a bunch of spoiled yuppies that have never personally done anything, to me.

Even a literal trillion-dollar company gets hate from the dunces. That was a forest 18 months ago. That's where the cybertruck is made.
Are all pathetic liberals so hypocritical? What part of "saving the planet" is destroying a forest for some cyberfolly is this?
Oh....Electric cars with batteries that require environment-destroying strip mining and deforestation are a good idea because Pathetic Joe has convinced his Pathetic Followers that it is?

Henry Ford used to be scoffed at back in the day.

The transition to EV cars will be slow but steady with the price point and charging network the main obstacles.
Better not be too critical of mining. You'll need a lot of big holes in the ground for lithium, copper, and silver. And constant new ones trying to find more.

I was trying to point out the irony of pointing out the environmental damage of acquiring materials for one venture while ignore those same damages for other ventures.

I don't know if this is currently being worked on but I would think someone is trying to develop manmade versions of the above materials. I know that they have been able to "grow" diamonds:

But it's one thing to create artificial diamonds in limited quantities. The three I cited have to be mined in large quantities. And in the case of copper and silver they are base elements. They're what you make things from. Diamonds on the other hand are the result of pressure on carbon. Not sure, is lithium an element?

No, you were deflecting from the discussion about EV.
I “pointed out” the absurdity of the venture from an environmental perspective and the hypocrisy of you liberals.
You deflected towards all the other environmental issues in true liberal deflective style.
Own it lefty.
