This is the setup in my garage and an EV Go fast charging station at a Mass Pike rest area:

(Yes, even though I am retired, I still park as though I am on the clock. :) )

housing is not affordable here anymore, its all the banks and govts fault, and people work.

im wiling to put in work for the revolution in addition to my healthcare work. if i and we dont succeed, its going to be barbarism.
You want everyone controlled anyways. What better way than to herd them all into government housing? A fact of life with capitalism is excess leads to economic failure at some point. The economy will collapse, prices will come down. Not if but when.

Nobody needs a full charge every day. The average American drives 30 miles a day as a year round average, or less.

A 110v outlet provides 3 miles of charge per hour, give or take.

That means a standard overnight charge from a 110v outlet can meet the average daily need.

And just about everybody has a dryer outlet anyway. That gets rid of the problem completely.
I was specifically told by the service manager to plug my car in to a 110v outlet only as a last resort.

The electricians who installed my charging station had to add a 30amp breaker to my panel and install a dryer outlet type plug.

no housing wont come down in the long term, it will get more expensive in the long term, but in short term ur right there will be cycles.

banks should not be privatized.

control is not necessarily a bad thing. but it is when you are taking orders from an unelected boss on the job.

The service manage is either ignorant or the Hyundai just sucks. :) It doesn't do any damage. You can live your whole EV life on 110v and it's fine.

Most people's cars are home 60 to 100 hours per week. So a 50 hour charge time is completely fine. Never a risk of running out for most people.

I am amazed though, at the number of people who will buy a 50k EV and then refuse to spend 500 bucks for a perfect home charging system.

It even adds to home value.

My range anxiety starts when my charge goes down to around 100 miles. I plug it in before I go to bed and it is fully charged when I wake up. If I plug it in at the public charging station in our complex I don't like to leave it there overnight and will instead charge it during the day on their dime.

My home charging station was right around $600 but otherwise your statement is spot on. I rent so if I were to move I would take it with me. If I had a home I would give the new owner the option of whether they wanted it or not.

That's cool. I'm just saying most people can use a 10 hour overnight trickle charge and never even bring the level down much. You can get 25 to 40 miles of range overnight with nothing but an extension cord.

Let me get this straight. My wife who is notoriously lazy about keeping her gas tank full would now be required to plug in her EV every night? I can see right now who won't be getting an EV.

Getting gas requires an extra stop, extra turns, a special step out of the car and back in. And 5-10 minutes of time. Too much work.

An EV requires no extra stops, no extra turns, no special steps out of the car (you're getting out at home anyway) and it requires 5 seconds of time.

I see you have never met my wife.
