I don't have a problem with this on a moral level, but to me, it seems that until gay marriage is legal, I don't know how this can be done. Like, if I were married (to a man), and I wanted my husband to be on my insurance, I'd have to turn in a marriage license, right? If I were "married" (to a woman), and I wanted her on my insurance, what do I turn in? I know there is a form, etc., but without that legal document saying that I am married to her, what is to stop me from putting my hetero girl roommate on my insurance? She doesn't have any, and UPS' insurance is good. I'd pretend to be gay if it meant not having her germing up the apartment for eight months out of the year because she can't get a prescription for antibiotics....
