I voted Republican across the board until the 2020 election although I would have always considered myself more moderate than conservative/liberal. My parents (both Republicans) were both high risk for COVID complications and took very drastic precautions to avoid catching the virus, especially my dad since he has had major respiratory problems in the past. The constant mocking of people who were afraid of Covid really soured me on people who I thought shared my beliefs, and as the year wore on and became more polarized, I just felt that the right really didn’t represent me in any way anymore. I certainly don’t feel represented by the Democratic Party either, but I’d definitely say I lean left nowadays. Thank you for being respectful and actually asking. How about you? Voting for Biden/Democrats has destroyed America as we knew it. Anyone can see. It's in clear daylight. And you know exactly what I'm talking about.

I think you’ve confused media hype and sloppy interpretation of complex models as the actual science. A headline of “The world will end in 20 years!” gets more attention/clicks than “This climate model is complex with a range of possible outcomes that are all dependent on constantly changing inputs.”
