Yeah, I'd like to know. Include that in with all my other questions. Like the retirement changing to 25 years AND age 55 instead of 25 and out any age.....$200 a month for insurance......

This contract is not looking so good to me.

You didn't mention the part about superseding any provisions that part time benefits be the equal of full-time benefits. So, the only guarantee of benefits (other than the existance of a prescription card) is the fiduciary responsibility of the company to spend the H&W capitation contributed on behalf of each part time employee responsibly? Where is that amount specified in the contract and how does it compare with the number(s) in the last contract?

Very scary language indeed. Does the prescription card come with a $10 co pay? Someone needs to contact the NLRB, Hard Copy or lawyer

This deception or lack of information is unacceptable.

people around here all havent even got the ballots. I just found out from our shop stewart that the union is screwing the part timers----on the teamster mailer the health plan looked almost identical to what we already have ---what is left out and hidden somewhere is that all part timers will have to pay $1000 deductible for EACH person on their plan in network and out of network is 3000 pp per year. is that legal if people arent all getting their ballots and we have to get the vote in by the 9th?? and how come nobody is being told about the deductable ...i vote HELL NO!!!

i talked to my local, and he said our insurance will not change one bit. it does say that in our supplement. it might be different for everybody though. you might want to read your supplement or call your local guys. hopefully they will tell you the truth.

We also got some PT specific stuff in the snail mail here about this... didn't see anything that got worse. Angel is right though, check your supplemental.

The info i received in the mail compared "in-network" benefits with "out-of-network" benefits.

How do I know if I'm in or out of network?

It's not you that's in or out of network it's the Doctor or specialist or whatever that is or isn't. Get your hands on a list of those - I think it comes in a booklet. I actually have to get a new one myself.

Anyone know if this is done through HR or not?

Who does it list as a provider (healthcare)? this interests me. I know it doesn't affect our local (least thats what they told our hourlies). We currently get Blue Cross or Harvard Pilgrim I believe (may have been fallon) for the union and Aetna, Cigna and Blue Cross for management in our area.

I am curious about this as well as my employees have heard little to nothing about this when I mentioned it.

In all fairness brother, I am also voting No, and have been concerned about this issue straight out the gate, but I wanted to correct you on the date thing, the votes have to be in by the 16th at 10 am eastern time, the 9th deadline is for requesting a new ballot if you didn’t receive the first one…either way you look at it, not enough time, a snow-job big time.

I just hope that I do not have to say "I told you so" for the next five years if this contract passes. Really is anybody listening out there, let alone doing any research about the loopholes present with this new pension lanuage and health and welfare lanuage. :cursing:
