Jeez. Only a 30% raise in wages AND a 30% raise in pension benefits. I'm sure glad I don't belong to a communistical UNION that would keep me from pulling myself up by my OWN bootstraps. Collective bargaining is the work of Satan himself.

They were getting manipulated by Smith years ago and formed an in-house union. That wasn't strong enough, so they joined ALPA. The pilots got Smith figured out, and then they dealt with him properly.

Oh, I think the fall will be most interesting in terms of any pay increase. I also wonder what changes may happen to our “benefits.” An $8,000 deductible?

There isn't any and never will be. The only steps that will matter are the ones you're taking getting the hell out of that place.

A union is a working persons legal representation in regards to their employer contract or in the case of Express no representation or any rights they might have. Early on Express was kept honest by the threat of UPS and the Teamster
