PE = Plant Engineering ( I.E. your mechanics, and their specialists, sups, managers, district managers and regional managers)

Walked out = terminated (I.E. fired, axed, de-hired and , uh, walked out. They (management) has security escort you out

No good reason = I will discuss it when the matter is resolved.

9 at a time? Sounds like a layoff, start applying for your unemployment insurance.

...unless we can get to the bottom of the "no good reason" which you will discuss later...

What did your steward say about any of this? Also where do you work (what building?) and also you have to say what the reason was if you want some help. You came on here looking for answers but, we need to hear the reason first! Also do you realize that if you are union and you were layed off you can bump any full time car washer's or mechanic's. Something doesn't sound right here!!!!

I was just wondering if they are any other mechanics on this site. The thing about being fired was just a comment, not a question. It is being handled by the union. From what I have seen in person and read here UPS pretty much treats everyone from manager on down poorly.

In our building they fired two mechanics after they installed cameras and watched them for a couple of weeks. Word has it they were not "working at all times" something about time card saying one thing and video showing another. One mechanic is not coming back and the other is grieving the termination. (been almost 6 months). Hope your situation is different.

Oh boy, the good ol "Not where your card said you were" deal. I just love how the no-nothing engineers who run the department anymore fall back on that.
