Dogs, cats....To each his own. I just like the unconditional love when so many people have let me down. Just think dogs express it better.

Who says that you can't train a cat? I have trained Oreo to keep my browns pressed.

This is Miss Molly, the newest member of our canine family. My wife and I got her thru a rescue on Saturday. She is a Beagle, about 6 years old, and a real cutie pie. We have 2 other dogs; Rusty the bassett hound and Waylon the toy poodle. They are best buds, but Waylon is 17 yrs old and circling the drain health wise, so we went ahead and got Molly now so that Rusty wont be all alone when Waylon passes away. Molly is a smart dog, she only had one "accident" before figuring out how to use the doggy door to get outside into the dog run. She gets along great with Rusty and Waylon, there have been no fights or territorial issues. My wife took her to the vet today to get her current on shots, and the vet gave her a clean bill of health other than being a bit of a "chunky monkey" which a low-fat diet and lots of walks will cure. She whined and cried a bit from anxiety on her first day here, but belly rubs and back scratchies took care of that problem fairly quickly and she feels right at home now. She is an awesome dog!

Not a good day at Rods house. I lost my 18 year old cat Felony this morning. The work shop is going to be a lonely place now.

I am so sorry to hear Rod. We had one (cat) make it that long also.

She was part of our family and the raising of my 4 children, and 5 of my
granchildren all knew and loved her well.

I have not obtained a new one.

I do not know if I could take the heartache again.

Grief is the price we pay for having loved.

Our neighbors lost a long time beagle pet. They now have a rescue named Nikki and she's about that age too. That dog (beagles in general) is nose to the ground and food loving!! She's a sweetie......but my dog is a beatch and nipped her on the snout. Mocha has no friends..........but she's friendly to the 2 of us and that's all she will let in. Except my friend Dan who moved....she just loved him!!

So sorry to hear that Rod. Every time I lose one, I say never again. Then I find my self searching and inevitably do it all over again. I think our pets gone, drive us to get pets new.
