The premium will rise. Probably not 20% for me, but I'm relatively young and healthy. My out of pocket will probably go down. I'd rather the poor, elderly and sick have coverage.

I think it depends on the time. Premiums rise in the early years as the markets adjust and come down when all the sick people get kicked off coverage or die.

This isn't difficult math. More people uninsured = higher costs for everyone. The costs get passed on to the paying customers, it's better to have everyone insured so rates can reflect actual costs and maintain a stable predictable market.

How do uninsured get healthcare in a way that affects others ... other than Emergency Room visits?
