I'm interested in reading the books that will be written about the Obama administration. The equivalent Trump books will be just as interesting!

Just make sure you stay in the lines.

Most of us voted for him on the idea of taking out Obamacare, among other ideas. That's probably the same 23 million that weren't eligible before Obamacare. Making everyone hurt financially to give a small percentage healthcare was just wrongheaded from the start. And only flew through Congress with Obama lying his head off about it.

How many of those 23 million are people who simply choose to not pay for what is essentially little but catastrophic coverage that they were previously forced to buy?

Those who were getting subsidies (paid for by others) will have to pay more for themselves.

Only the freeloaders are upset.
This isn't difficult math. More people uninsured = higher costs for everyone. The costs get passed on to the paying customers, it's better to have everyone insured so rates can reflect actual costs and maintain a stable predictable market.

Not higher cost for everyone.

Only higher cost for those who were having others pay for it.

Are you mad because you will no longer be getting a subsidy for yourself?

That's a Socialist viewpoint.
Many people would say, let the market set the prices.

Is that how it worked before Obamacare? I recall reasonable premiums and much better coverage.

Nope. I make too much for a subsidy. Trumpcare will give me, a person that doesn't need it, a large tax credit for coverage. It will be personally beneficial to me. I think it's bad policy.
