Funny but wrong.
Mohammed is a better humorist than a mathematician.
Mixed results and the poorly worded meme doesn't say 'which rate' is lower in Germany.
The reason deaths are lower is the higher percentage of health care professionals to the overall population and the reason Germany has more cases is targeted testing.

Germany - ___ 1810 deaths / 103374 cases = 1.75% mortality rate
United States - 10783 deaths / 366614 cases = 2.94 % mortality rate

Germany population - 83 M
United States pop_ - 327 M 3.94 times people in USA as in Germany

Adjusted for population Germany - 103374 * 3.94 = 407,000 cases
______________________________1810 * 3.94 = 7131 deaths

So more cases in Germany per population but less deaths

Or perhaps we test more and report (more) honestly. Or, as probable in NY, they overstate their cases for more federal $$.

I anything, cases are under-reported and deaths due to Covid-19 are not properly classified as such. Remember, sir, we still don't have widely available testing.

Your mind is warped.

Eh, maybe.

The fact remains (and this isn’t about Trump) our National response to this has been piss.

Without the availability of widespread testing and contact-tracing, the only tool left, the bluntest one in the box, is social-distancing.

I hope we learn some lessons from this (again, not about Trump).

Seems to me a 50-State pandemic response is least best.

And now each state is bidding against each other and against FEMA for supplies?

That’s no way to run a rodeo.

We won't because the media has politicized this from the start.

ok

I’ll agree, both the left and right media have politicized this.

Question is, when this happens again, and it will, are we going to learn from this experience or not?

There will be a ‘post-mortem’ on this, and hindsight is 20/20, but basically everyone fckd up.

China, the WHO, the CDC, Trump, Faucci, Cuomo, DiBlasio, state Governors, UPS, my wife...

No one escapes culpability.

So do we come up with a better plan for next time or not?

I hope we do.

The problem is we don’t agree on what would of been a better plan.
I’m of the opinion this thing should of just ran it’s course and at risk people should of self quarantined if they felt the need to.
