I did not know who he was.
Drummers have the most thankless, but needed jobs in a band.

R.I.P. Mr. Mark Lavon "Levon" Helm. Drummer for the Band, yes, but a finer multi-instrumentalist never existed. This musician could do it all. Go and join the big jam session in heaven, with your versatility you'll never have to wait.

Mr Levon Helm was a treasure and there will be no replacement. My condolences to his family.
