Ready to Strike?

Seems like the strike spirit is across the land?

After this pandemic and the corporate gouging I am surprised that most of us are not storming the Capital....

All of us were being played big time over the last 2 years...

I was around in 1997...the day before they strike everybody in our building was in, not even knowing the politics and the aftermath. It was like we were amazed that Carey would follow through with it...all of us were walking with a little swagger after the many years of being beat down that day.

Absolutely.

Last contract, only 22% voted and 19% of that approved. Not a big tool.... the bring in to negations.

I'm glad to see the enthusiasm and participation of the new administration.
I really believe the members do not understand that if you give strike authorization vote, it is not mean you're going on strike.

I have a union shop on my route and when their last contract came about they did not give a strike authorization vote.

The owner of the company which I've known for many years come straight out and told me if they would have gave a strike authorization vote they were got much better contract but since they was too much of a P*. They got nothing and they voted yes to accept it

It was 93% yes on the strike vote, making it 19% of the total eligible voters. Also means only about 4% really didn't want to strike, and the rest didn't care one way or the other.
