Nothing will turn the United States into Western Europe faster than the austerity measures that Ryan and Romney are championing.

Please share what the current administration's plan is to bring down the 17 TRILLION Debt, and
what is the plan for the next 4 years if they are relected to pay off this monster?

Thanks I await your answer.

I missed it somewhere sir.

You know how we (C9ers) are so misinformed.

By the way, what is a statist? I get the feeling I am supposed to be offended but I doubt that I will be.

Recent history please.

I didn't even read this thread, but just from the title I know where it's going. My guess is that Obama was still a teenager in Kenya when Reagan was President, or was he in Cuba, or Russia. Not sure, but it's one of those places. This is what happens when cousins marry and then reproduce...Tea Partiers.

Statism (French: étatisme) is a term used by political scientists to describe the belief that a government should control either economic or social policy or both to some degree. Statism is effectively the opposite of anarchism. Statism can take many forms. Minarchists prefer a minimal or night watchman state to protect people from aggression, theft, breach of contract, and fraud with military, police, and courts. Some may also include fire departments, prisons, and other functions. Totalitarians prefer a maximum or all encompassing state. Limited government, welfare state, and other options make up the middle territory of the scale of statism. Some anarchists use the term statist in a derogatory sense.

Seems vague enough that anyone reciting the Pledge of Allegiance could be called a statist. I guess I am guilty.

-----Hopefully we will server all ties towards socialism on November 6th----- :) --- But I'm just being hateful---
You are. You use terms like "socialism" when they clearly don't apply because you know the term holds negative connotation...or because you heard it on Fox News.:)--- yeah that's more likely.

True. I do find it funny though that people throw around such terms but don't really know what they mean. I bet Hoaxster thought it was demeaning though. But then again, I would have thought he would know the meaning.
