Is it me, or does that sound like some kind of super natural help that just can't be put into words?
Could this be some kind of irresistible grace? I mean, once the Holy Spirit is whispering in your ear, your free will has to be out the door.
I wonder...If the Holy Spirit doesn't whisper in everyone's ear, only the ones he has decided, how is it possible that the scriptures teach that Jesus died for all? That doesn't sound much like a just God.
Oh well, in the meantime, I'll be praying for that"small still voice" that's not an audible voice, and hope I'm one of the lucky ones he picks.

The Word is active & living, it burrows spiritually in a way that I can't describe to someone who is not spiritually discerned. Might be why we can't connect on this one.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Is he physically knocking on the door of your home? Or is there something spiritual going on?

Is he dining with you? Any way you look at that verse you are taking it literally, not figuratively. Read Acts 2:37. Says they were pricked in their hearts, or cut to the heart in some translations, when they heard Peter's sermon about Jesus. They asked what they needed to do to be saved. They listened to the Apostle, they didn't have the Holy.Spirit telling them in their minds. Another example is the Ethiopian eunuch. He was reading the Scriptures and was asked by Philip if he understood what he was reading. He said how could he unless some man guided him. Philip taught him about Jesus and upon seeing some water he asked to be baptized. He didn't have the Holy Spirit coming to him to have a spiritual encounter which led to him being saved. If I understand @Integrity correctly we don't need to be "saved." He just wants us to have a wonderful relationship with God who will converse with us and envelop us in his love. If God is only opening up Christ's Church to those he contacts and makes receptive then what's the point of Judgement? Let's take the Bible in its entirety instead of editing out the portions we disagree with, as Integrity is want to do.

Deep and heavy but still deflection.I promise you it's not why we can't connect. My discernment of things spiritual? I could make your ears burn with the who and what spirituality actually is.
The reason we can't connect is you're not honest. When you're challenged you burrow in alright. With no discussion about your claims.
It would be better if you just went full NoItegrity. Just spout, God is love! Jesus loves sinners! God is the Creator of the Universe! Do you feel the love of God today!
It would give you a better look than the lack of spine you're showing.
