The Israelites were an irresistibly chosen race. They physically saw the works of God but they chose to reject him.Is it me, or does that sound like some kind of super natural help that just can't be put into words?
Could this be some kind of irresistible grace? I mean, once the Holy Spirit is whispering in your ear, your free will has to be out the door.
I wonder...If the Holy Spirit doesn't whisper in everyone's ear, only the ones he has decided, how is it possible that the scriptures teach that Jesus died for all? That doesn't sound much like a just God.
Oh well, in the meantime, I'll be praying for that"small still voice" that's not an audible voice, and hope I'm one of the lucky ones he picks.
Many are called/drawn but few are chosen.
*hopefully everyone is lucky enough to partake in the special baptism you teach
