Try being a Seasonal doing bulk deliveries in the AM and bulk pick ups in the PM. Drive a rental with a radio and heat.

They don't but if he is working in the same building that he retired from he should have some influence with management. Still a "good old boy" network. And they won't have to train him.

They have catered to the newbies for years so they don't quit. Actually, seniority is rarely followed in general. Maybe some places it is....

Find a hobby. Forget about (working at) UPS. If you miss your coworkers, invite them for a beer. If you miss the work..... find a hobby.

Doubtful. We use vendors now for hiring with no HR. This peak will go down as the worst of all time.

We have several retirees who come back for peak and do just this. They say they'll deliver bulk stops and do bulk pickups and that's all. If management refuses they'll just tell em if they change their mind give em a call.

Lord have mercy on me if I ever do this for UPS after the way they treat us over the regular working years.
