So I set up a 401k a couple weeks ago and my last paycheck showed a deduction towards it. However when I look at my teamsters 401k account it says my account balance is still $0. Does it take a while for the money to get to the 401k or have I done something wrong?
32% Bonds is a ton for a 32 year old. Hell 10% is a lot for a 32 year old.Set the asset allocation to a bond percentage between your and and your age minus 10. Example: I'm 32, therefore 32% bonds. Check it on your birthday every year and rebalance.
Better yet, use one of those auto-allocation funds and don't check it ever.
