Battlestar Galactica sure beats the mess out of star trek. As far as the avatar.......Knowing is half the battle.......

I like the Cobra Commander avatar as well.

Did you know the new G.I. Joe movie is coming out. They changed his mask in the movie because it looked to KKKish in live action.

1. Its Cheryls site not mine-she is the final authority and anyone who doesnt like that fact is free to start their own site.

2. The avatar in question is not offensive, but it is in poor taste. But then again I have no taste to begin with, so who the hell am I to judge?

3. If one is worried about their child seeing a guy in briefs I can understand that, but my daily newspaper has a full-page color JC Penney ad with women in lingerie that is a lot more conspicuous than an online avatar.

4. Obscene avatars should not be allowed. Problem is, I cant define obscenity, but I know it when I see it. Everyone has their own standards. Perhaps one solution might be a setting that would allow each user to "block" avatars from being visible.

5. As far as the gay thing goes...I am big fat hairy truck driver. I say, thank God for all the good-looking gay men, because if they were all straight I would have had an even harder time finding a woman to be with. Less competition can only help improve the odds for us butt-ugly straight guys!

Heff I did not know that......so does my mask make me look kkkish....should i change it......JK......I really dont see what the big deal is, we are all adults.......we may not act like it at times, we all hide behind an avitar so that we are not "stugged" this is who we are to each other, like it or leave it this is who we are and to be asked to change an avatar is up to the moderator but common people it is not a pic of 2 guys groping each other or the ups girl pulling packages out of you know where. I have seen gayer stuff on my rt. I just wished my abs looked that good under the mounds of flab that lay underneath my shirt. So am i glad the avitar was taken down....yes....I am just to envious to the 8 pack abs staring me in the face. Did the underwear bother me...no I go commando...Go joe!!!

)excuse teh grammitical errors and spelling, miller highlife and wild turkey make me ramble and seem like a jerk or loveable at times(

We've deleted more avatars than you probably know, and YES, we have every right to do so.

That being said, I personally don't like either as an avatar on BrownCafe, but I also don't think one has crossed the line any more than the other.

As members here, you all have the responsibility of reporting any post, signature line, or avatar that you find objectionable. We honestly do value your input.

I agree and check out my new sub signature, hope it's not that objectionable. Also, can you make a photoalbum of all the deleted avatars?

Dont worry you big fat babies. I have deleted my avatar and bowed to your pressure! Good for you all. You win! I just feel sorry for any employee at UPS that may be struggling with the fact they are gay and dealing with a bunch of homophobic, uptight, cant grasp on to the fact that people are out there and really do exist in the year 2009. I have been targeted and I will accept the judgement of the BC members. This is your website not mine. I will continue to visit. You won the battle just not the war! Congratulations to the winners. And thanks to the members out there that supported my avatar.

Oh no you didn't! You totally went off for no reason. Just because some members didn't like your avatart doesn't mean they don't like you. C'mon man, take it easy. By the way, was this post by sexy, or sexy's daddy?:wink2:

If I am on here with my son, and I come across a posting from sexyupsman, I will srcoll past it without reading it so as my son does not see his avatar. I do enjoy reading his thoughts and comments and will go back to read them later.

I'm a fast scroller as well, as far as my children are concerned, but that aside, I thought we were all grown ups, and could "tolerate" a little bit of flava.

Sexyupsman, If you read my post you will see that I did not say a word about you, your avatar, or your personal life. I just said that I believe Cheryl and her Mod squad had the right to censor anything they thought need deleting.
Look, you have your opinions, so does everyone else on here. Some are offended by your (now old) avatar. I was not, but after I saw it once, I didn't need to look at it again.
As far as you posting your opinions here, same as anyone else, I have no problem with you being here.

Ya know, if your avatar had been wearing UPS brown shorts and not "spread eagle" (which would be offensive to many regardless) I doubt anyone would have said a word about it. Just use a little common sense. Oh, BTW I think the term "soft porn" is a bit extreme for even that pic.

Agreed!

I could swear there is at least 1/4 pitbull in that dog

I thought it had pit as well, LOL, not back to the melee.

No one on here is homophobic....This is a family orientated website.....Member's kids look at the site while their mom/dad browse the site and the last thing these members want their kids to see is a half naked man spread eagle....It's as simple as that

Good point, ML, I just hate that word. I prefer oriented, but who am I?

I do not like the avatar in question. But, is it not ironic that there is another poster who has an avatar with a "hot" girl wearing little browns? I didn't hear complaints then.

As long as there is no nudity, I do not have a problem. And NO, I am not gay....not that there is anything rong with it.

:wink2:

K of C.....In defense of the UPS girl......she isn't posing in her undies. Daisy Duke shorts are clothes.

Yeah, but her more than ample hind quarters, seem to just ooze out of the bottoms, if that's what you want to call them.

This is Cheryl's Web site. Hers and hers alone. If she does not like you for what ever reason, she has the right to keep you off. If she decides that every post you make has to be read by her before it is allowed to appear, its her site. Grow up, deal with it.

Now, as for mr sexy UPS man, first, you are even more of a guest here than everybody else, best I can figure. You are not, nor have you been a UPS employee. Your lust for the UPS man is about the extent of your brown experience.

As such, the majority of your posts have been geared toward your sexual bent.

I dont have a problem with your lifestyle. Its your life, live it as you see fit. As long as your rights dont conflict with mine, we can live in peace and harmony.

Problem is that you and a few others attempt to make every issue a gay one. You are the one that gave yourself the gay identity, not anyone else here. But yet everyone else is homophobic? I disagree. I think you are the one with the phobia.

So deal with life. Its not fair. Start your own website and have at it, that way you can moderate as you see fit.

Best

I thought anyone was welcome at the BC, not just UPS'ers. I've been telling a lot of my friends about this site, I guess I'd better stop. You never know, one of them may be g-a-y, shhhhh!

I think this has opened a can of worms. As mentioned Sexy didn`t have a pic that couldn`t be seen in the underwear section of a catalog or an add in a magazine.Would anyone have been offended if Sexy was a girl? To me it`s no better or worse than the half naked UPS girl or even that thing Danny has in his (I can`t figure out what it is). One can find offense in any avatar. I had "Buddy Jesus" a few years ago. Shouldn`t we look out for the concerned religious group? What about my present one in the light of Travis the killer chimp?

I personally am offended by Tater`s avatar, everybody knows Battlerstar Galactica is better than Star Trek.

Good one, cach!

That "thing" is a Tardegrade.

Cool creatures. Try your best to kill them, but they just keep coming back over and over again.

Kinda like some UPS men.

d

If you cloned it, would it be a Re-Tardegrade?:wink2:

How about let the moderators deal with this stuff and all go to a better thread.

Amen, must we moderate ourselves?:surprised:

I thought this was a place to state opinions??

That's another thread.:happy2:

It did not bother me, not much does.
Several people stated it did.
I did not know or think sexyupsman was gay.
I would guess the reason no one reports being disgusted about sexy ups girl is the pic has been around for years, and it isnt thrust in your face, and men dont mind seeing her. I think men do mind seeing that pic, unless they are gay.
Its dealt with, any more complaints on anyones stuff,(sic) we have to deal with it.
I really have no opinion, Im just trying to keep the village happy.

Can you edit my avatar, so that I'm facing backwards. This way no one will no who I really am.:wink2:

WHAT

Basically every other one of sexyupsman's posts had a gay metaphor, saying or subject. And when someone calls him on it, then they get called a homophobe. Re-read his posts, there are quite a few.

I thought the avatar was tasteless, much like many others. The so-called delivery girl avatar at least was associated with DELIVERING PACKAGES. That's why no one called him on it. If it was just a girl in a bikini, I would think it was in poor taste.

Danny had the perfect post and was what I wanted to write all day when I read this thread on my cellphone during lunch. It has nothing to do with sexual nature. I scrolled past the avatar quickly so my wife wouldn't think I was on a gay site. :wink2:

PS - My uncle is gay, my cousin is gay, the route I covered this week is bid by a gay driver. I have no issue at all with this subject. There is no reason your sexual nature needs to be thrown around on a UPS-related site anyways. Just my opinion. No one cares. Your insight as a shipper/receiver would have been fine.

PS2 - I don't think David Ragan is dreamy either :happy2:

Are you trying to sayhe's on the wrong end of the ......stick?:happy-very:

I don't really have a problem with sexyupsmans avatar other than the fact that my wife came into the computer room one night and saw his underwear dude and said - ' God now your into gay porn?" . Do you know how long it took me to convince her that I was still into straight porn!:wink2:

LOL, nice rod!

Almost forgot to add my own opinion. I thought sexy was a troll at first, and a funny one at that. Then sexy let us know what his deal was. I was okay with that. Then sexy let us see the avatar of his dreams. I was okay with that.
Then sexy said he and his "Daddy" were [-]coming[/-]traveling with us on the cruise. I was okay with that. I was starting to feel like he was part of the BC crowd. I found his avatart was equal to that of the UPS girl. I guess what I'm trying to say, is, whatever Cheryl says, is what I will understand to be the law.

I think there have been some very valid points made. Thank you Upstate. Cheryl, obviously has the final say. And the mods work within the guidelines that Cheryl has defined. I also believe that the group as a whole should have some input as well. I did not vote however. Questionable avatars may offend some, but that does not mean they are a violation of TOS.

I think the most important thing is this:

If one is going to enforce guidelines for avatars (soft porn) then they need to be enforced across the board. That means if sexy's avatar goes then there are some others that need to go as well. Fair is fair.

I personally didn't care for your avatar sexy and I really appreciate you changing it. Thank you. And if I had been that offended by your avatar I would have asked you to change it or reported it.

LOL you probably never saw TIE's avatar. I thought it was great. Maybe he'll put it back up. It was a baby smoking a cigarette.

First time I saw underpant man I felt there was something odd about him. It almost appeared that the undies had been cut from somewhere else, pasted and resized to fit over his business. That thought came back and haunted me everytime I saw the thing so I simply scrolled past the entire post.

I don't like motion avatars one bit, they make me dizzy. Fortunatey, someone here posted how to make it stop so I can now take time to read those posts.

No matter to me what sort of picture one wants to post but if I don't personally like it I'll move on down the line.

Your avatar is pretty offensive.

Not saying at all that he does not belong here or that he has no right to be here. Geesh, re read my post.

My point, lacking your desire to re-read it is that I dont care if he is or is not a UPS employee. Hell I even started the for UPS customers to this site sticky.

But a customer that offers nothing to the conversation than his sexual bent on life, really has not much to offer on a UPS site. And the fact that he views the average UPS driver as a plaything for his fantacies...........

After his initial groping, he started to add some "flare" to the BC, is all I'm saying.
