I would agree. It's no secret who this poll is aimed at, and while I personally don't care to look at men in underwear and would prefer not to see that used as an avatar, there are a couple members who have used the porn star dressed in a revealing faux UPS outfit as their avatars and no one has said anything, at least publicly. Fairness would dictate that if you get rid of one, you get rid of all of them.

Agreed. Get rid of all of them, and quickly.

Are we talking about your male customers? :surprised:
LOL Reminds me, along time ago (2 yrs now) I had a del to an older man, he came to the door with nothing but BVD's on. I just shook my head and chuckled after I left. Had another one for another guy that tried to sneak across the yard naked as a jaybird. He didn't make it. Had some lady in an apt that came to the door with a sheet kinda wrapped around her. Well at least it was halfway around her. The other half had absolutely nothing on. LOL I just chuckle.

Here in my creepy, suburb neighborhood, there are old men who mow the lawn in speedos... Especially the ones that live on the main arterial street...

Danny, lighten up. I don't think Sexy is a threat to anyone. I enjoyed his crazy posts. I thought it was amusing that some men were offended by his avatar, while saying nothing about the babe in the stripper UPS uniform. Women are so used to this double standard that we just shrug our shoulders and shake our heads.

For example, if you were walking down the street and heard a wolf whistle, you would turn around and look, right? I think most women nowadays have learned to ignore it or it will just elevate the sexual harassment further. You were offended by this guy in a funny bathing suit and I was just shaking my head saying how uncomfortable that must be. Different strokes for different folks. (And don't go THERE) jmho

Dear Helen

No, the avatar, which is what the thread was about did not offend me. I ignored it, as per your post, which is what what I did.

But what I did find off color if you will was his overt promotion of his sexuality on the site. That to me was offensive, so there were two things at play. I could ignore him or complain.

I am not the complaining type, and when I do, the person that is involved is the person I complain to, not to someone else. So since I was not interested in a one sided conversation with him, I chose to ignore the whole thing.

So no, I was not one that complained. But I do support the mods and Cheryl in their right to edit or delete what they see fit.

As for being open and accepting or that over used tolerant, I will be and do so when they are the same. That being said, I have several customers and acquaintances that are gay. But they dont feel like they need to make it the centerfold of what their life is all about.

Just for the record, I was the one who first complained about the avatar and did it directly to the owner of the avatar. Turns out there was a lot of people who didn't like it along with me.

Well everyone, thanks to those who supported me and up yours to the ones that created some gay agenda in their own heads. I have changed my avatarT (thanks Steve) but I will not change my opinion, my stance, my posts, my thoughts or me all together. No I am not an employee but I am a major contributor to the business of UPS. I promote, use and enjoy this website and UPS in general. I am not infatuated with my driver, we are great friends and spend alot of time together. How gay is that? And to the one ********* (which I wont mention) you are the biggest ****** I have ever read a post from. You make no sense in your interpretation of any post I have made. Never once did I promote being gay, I responded to the posts directed at me about my avatarT. So you just suck it buddy! I am not pushing anything onto anybody. I am not the only person that makes sexual remarks that dont apply to the post at hand. And as far as the UPS chick avatarT, do not change it. I love it! Very sexy and kinda cute. Thanks again for everyone with words of wisdom and kindness. Go Brown!:peaceful:

Fact: There are people who are homophobic.
Fact: Some of the homophobic have no clue that they are homophobic
Fact: Most of us insert some of our personal lives into some of our posts.
Fact: Some who insert their personal life choices only have problems with those who do the same when they do not agree with those choices.

All though it doesn't surprise me, it still disappoints me to see people judge others by their sexuality. There are a lot of posters who talk about their wives, husbands, GF's and such. Never did anyone ever have a problem with these posters "promoting" their straight sexuality. But when an openly gay man talks about his "better half", all of a sudden this person is flaunting their sexuality. And so what if they do flaunt it? I am proud of my better half. She is one of the greatest things in my life, next to my kids. I have said this before here.

I think that sexyups man misread the word avatar and thought he saw abattoir. Consequently, he thought he should show a lot of cut up flesh.

My girlfriend at some point last night changed my avatar to herman munster. I figured out how to remedy that and posted a picture of miss piggy on her facebook picture. There will be no more unauthorized changes to my avatar as I am logging out on a consistent basis in the future.
