You may be using the term ‘Orwellian’ wrong. Here’s what George Orwell was actually writing about

USA Today is a great source of literary critique. Orwellian is, and always has been, used to descibe conditions that mirror the things Orwell wrote about. We could as easily say Huxlian, though that doesn't roll off the tongue as well, or Zamyatinian, but that's a down right tongue twister.

To call the author of that article a hack is an insult to hacks.

You see it man, this conspiratorial mindset by republican voters dominates any discussions about anything. The investigations about trump campaign being investigated nit being brought forth by the Obama administration has been debunked by multiple reports from the government yet it still persists in the minds of conspiracy minded conservatives.
