Supplemental Voter Turnout Breakdown

So does anyone have a breakdown of the voter turnout and yes vs. no votes for the various supplemental agreements somewhere? I didn't catch all of the teleconference on Friday but read somewhere that Local 89 had a 20% voter turnout? That's abysmal, and to my understanding worse than any other area's turnout...what was the turnout on the last offer in 2013 that they turned down by a 94% margin?

If it's really Local 89 that had such a low turnout, it's easy to see why...they voted down their supplemental by a huge margin and had it shoved all the way up their asses by Hawfa and his "leadership" and don't feel their vote counts anymore. That's what's about to happen to the workers at UPS as a whole...complete apathy. It's pretty sad. They broke Local 89's spirit, and now it's going to be everyone...I'll still vote, but I won't cross my fingers.

Edit: I can't really see where I was a getting a 20% turnout from, but I do see that about 32% voted on the air rider for Local 89. That's among the worst turnout, if not the worst, for supplements and riders. Same idea. I wonder what the turnout was in 2013 for the 94% no vote?

UPS Contract Vote Count 2018

The great Union leader Fred Z couldn't even motivate his own local to vote.

32.9% is pathetic, for someone who wants to be in charge of the IBT.

The only one funnier was the the Local 623 supplement, at 30.9%.

Home of the whole "vote no" movement.... and home of @anHOURover.

There we go. I thought Local 89 was the worst. Second worst isn't far off. But you have to admit, Suckerman was fighting some serious apathy after what happened in 2013.

Edit: Oh gee, what a coinkydink! Local 623 was one of the other holdout locals in 2013! So the first and second worst as far as turnout were the ones who had their supplementals stuck up their asses by Hawfa! What a surprise!

Edit 2: Oh, I didn't realize TDU was the only source for that information! And BUG linking a TDU website? Aren't you going to be called a "braindead TDU supporter" for that?

Edit 3: Western Pennsylvania is still holding strong (weak), with a 52.5% turnout...interesting. They were also bent over the barrel by Haw Haw Hawfa in 2013.

People get tired of all the constant negativity.

I've seen it in Local and IBT elections also.... having paperwork aggressively

shoved in their face every time they show up for work.

Or maybe they figured out that their vote didn’t matter to the teamsters last time so why bother this time. You can’t have it both ways. Either teamsters needs to listen to their members or their members won’t give them the time of day.

Definitely a factor, but I don't think it was the major one. I think the major one was getting bent over the barrel in 2013 so bad that their :censored2:s were still sore a full 5 years later so they didn't bother because they knew they would get bent over the barrel again if they voted it down by a large margin over and over again.

But I gotta admit, if they were that aggressive in Local 89 they went overboard and did themselves a disservice...it shouldn't have taken much to get them to vote the supplemental down.

The IBT always posts a breakdown by Local.

A day later TDU will post the same exact thing, acting like they just invented electricity.

The vote count being @ 8:00pm on a Friday night is the reason for the delay.

A strong showing by the PT at the Louisville air hub may have been enough to push the totals over the 50% mark. But after the 2013 contract being shoved down their throats, what was the point?

Anyways, Hawfa must not be getting any from his wife, because he's stocking up on Viagra and wearing out his penis pump to get ready to stick it up the asses of the 13 locals that voted their supplementals down this time around. He already knows he's going to impose them, too.

Possibly, but that's why I'm trying to find the turnout for 2013 on the last offer for Local 89 and Local 623. See how high it was then, and how far it's fallen since getting it up the ass.

Edit: It doesn't censor ass!?!?

You would have thought, that would have motivated them.

It doesn't say much for Fred's leadership.

Good information, but nothing about turnout...

If you were looking for something more in depth, that's the most I've seen.

It's not broken down by % of members (of each Local) or part-time vs. full-time.

As it pertains to my specific Local.... it's always been simple extrapolation.

The numbers totaled up on all the seniority lists and the number that voted.

Thats why I know my Local has always been in a specific range.

With no break down between PT and FT vote, it is just an assumption that no PT bother to vote.

I wouldn't say no part-timers vote, but it's definitely not the majority.

You would be surprised how many paper ballots used to get returned....

because of bad addresses. Even after informing the members to update the info.

I used to send out Christmas cards (Union printed of course) to all

the Stewards in my Local every year. I always got some back.

With the New England supplement being one of the bottom third of all the supplements, how did it pass?

I guess a lot would have to do if you work in a little 1 belt center or a large Hub with hundreds of PT employees. At my Hub most of the PT that have been there for a few years or decades are very well informed and committed.

Do we have any information on which supplements did NOT pass. I heard 6 of 30 something did not pass.

My one belt center the members are well informed but not by our worthless steward, but by someone else who is committed to the members. Most of the center was a "no".
