Have any of you drivers out there ever taken advantage of the "amtrak exemption"? It works out very well where i live. Since i live in Washington but work in Oregon. Its called the "amtrak" exemption but applies to anyone who fits the criteria. The only thing that may disqualify me is the GVWR (Gross vehicle weight rating) of my rig, does anyone know the GVWR of the sprinter vans, it needs to be more than 10k pounds???

"The standard vehicle has a GVWR of 8550 lb. with 4123 lb. of cargo capacity; it is also available with a 9990 lb. GVW rating for a payload capacity of 5105 lb."

To be sure, check on the registration, it should be listed there.
