Megyn Kelly discussed the Obama response with Andrew McCarthy, both attorneys, McCarthy a former prosecutor. She notes the Bloomberg reporter’s question was who in the White House knew about IRS targeting of conservatives.
Bloomberg reporter: Can you assure the American people that nobody in the White House knew about the IRS’s actions before your Counsel’s office found out about the IG probe?
Obama’s response: I can assure you that I certainly did not know anything about the IG report before the IG report had been leaked through press reports.

Kelly brings up that the AP thereafter interpreted that as as denial of knowledge of the IRS practices. AP headline was “Obama assures he did not know about IRS political targeting”, which of course, was not at all what he said but no doubt what he wanted the take away to be.

So if you don’t respond specifically to that direct a question, what may one conclude?

Either you did know, or you are so unclear as to the involvement of your administration, you choose to deflect the question.
McCarthy discusses the concept in the law of implied admission when one doesn’t actually respond.
The American people deserve much more than weasel responses from our President.

Of course Obama had no idea until he heard it in the media or something.

Via TPM:
The Treasury Department’s inspector general testified at a congressional hearing Friday that he had informed Obama administration officials of an investigation into improper scrutiny of conservative non-profit groups by the Internal Revenue Service during the run-up to the 2012 election.

J. Russell George told Treasury’s general counsel of the investigation on June 4, and Deputy Treasury Secretary Neal Wolin — then-Sec. Timothy Geithner’s No. 2 — “shortly thereafter,” according to the New York Times.

George did not, however, inform them of his conclusions that the targeting had been improper as the investigation was still ongoing. The official findings, which were released Tuesday, state that ineffective management allowed the practice to go on for more than 18 months but was ultimately stopped in May 2012.

President Barack Obama said Thursday that he had no knowledge about the inspector general’s report before it was leaked to the press this week. White House press secretary Jay Carney also maintained that no one in the administration was aware of the report.

Math does not help the middle class with a flat tax. With the current tax system to the government the middle class pay somewhere between 6 and 33 percent. The vast majority of lower to middle class pay around 6%. A 10% flat tax would raise the lower and middle class tax by around 6 grand a year. On the other end, the upper class would save anywhere from $60k to $1.4 million. I would rather pay less to the government than more personally. The problem isn't necessarily with the code, although it's way to complicated, but with the way the Fed spends money. It does waahaaaaaay more than it should. And fighting wars and spending money in other countries that don't want or need us is stupid. To say the least. I say ehff em. Let us withdraw from their borders, close our bases and let them deal with their own crap. The best teacher is circumstance. Besides, we look stupid being as broke ass as we are sending and spending money like we can pay it back eventually. We can't. Time to take care of ourselves for a while.

A little political. But the facts you need to be aware of.

Here is what happened on January 1, 2014

Top Medicare tax went from 1.45% to 2.35%

Top Income tax bracket went from 35% to 39.6%

Top Income payroll tax went from 37.4% to 52.2%

Capital Gains tax went from 15% to 28%

Dividends tax went from 15% to 39.6%

Estate tax went from 0% to 55%

Remember this fact: These taxes were all passed only with democrat votes, no republicans voted for these taxes.
These taxes were all passed under the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare ..
If you think that it is important that everyone in the U.S. should know this, pass it on to everyone you know.

My state income tax form allows all the people to pay extra if they wish to.
Given that Mass is a VERY liberal state , most of the public is shocked at the actual number of persons who elect to give more than their fair share .

Shows you just how NOT GENEROUS liberals are with their own money.
Funny that they don't have any problem giving away others peoples money.

Giving away "others peoples money" is an ongoing bipartisan effort. Until people stop participating in a two party system nothing will change.
