I had a guy on my route who was part of a bicycle riding group who begged and pleaded with me to sell him a pair of UPS socks when they first came out with the UPS shield on them. Told me it was a craze among his group they were all looking for them.

The new socks are certainly made a lot better than the ones from before, although I’m not a fan of the stripes on some of them.

Doubtful and really wouldn’t make sense. There’s more high seniority guys left in Feeders pulling in the big bucks. We still have a couple from the late 70s lol

Nope it was the one's with the first shield for sure. Anyway I gave him a brand new pair and he hooked my friend up with a brand new pair of golf clubs at cost.
Maybe it's just here, but feeders is where the old drivers go when they're tired of getting beat up all day in package.

Not sure how it is around the country but here we have a very large feeder department and it’s the only department that has layoffs. Some of those guys haven’t worked more than a couple days all year in feeders

I never bought a pair. Stupid, but it was the principle. If they wanted me to wear something, they should pay for it.
Management gave me a pair. I cut the feet out. I wore white socks with the tops of the UPS socks covering them.
