Shockingly I’ve never had any of these problems for very long. They get fixed pretty quickly when they know you won’t do these things.

If they know you’re a chump and will work for free for them. They will use you like a cheap whore. Can’t blame him that’s smart business.

I can help you understand the cost of doing business as opposed to having no integrity when you make an agreement

The cost of doing business would be for a short time while you’re attempting to hire new driver’s management has to work and you have to pay these grievances that could be understandable.


But if you’ve gone multiple years,without replacing drivers you’re having your own management quit and you know your multiple drivers short and you purposely and willfully go out of your way to not staff the operation correctly that is violating the spirit of the agreement, and is in fact an integrity issue.
Not sure why SOB and the boys can’t see this and take a stand

Technically, you’re probably right in this instance it’s very difficult to argue spirit of agreement. If anything, this was in fact a shortcoming of the negotiating committee.
How so?

The Union cannot tell the Company how to run their business.

If UPS thinks it is cheaper to write checks than to hire more people than let them write checks.

Have your paystubs been updated to indicate no tax on OT or will taxes withheld be refunded when you file?

I said you’re technically right there would need to be more strict language in the contract. They did increase the penalties but clearly that’s not enough. But make no mistake. It is a penalty and should not be something that was continued perpetually.. otherwise we would just called it extra pay.

Yes, our paystub’s have been updated although I don’t have any idea how the tax OT works yet my accountant says I will probably get back an extra couple thousand dollars based on last year’s numbers.
