The employer shall not put into effect any new plan of an economic nature affecting employees without checking and approval of the union. I would say a bonus is of a economic nature.
Guess what? The union signed off on the bonuses.
If the "plan" was already existing prior to ratification, the language doesn't help.
I think the incentive plans it referred to were bonus centers for drivers. Which can be voted in or out by each center.
UPS is allowed to pay people more. They can't pay them less.
I believe its been explained before as well.

Actually, I did not think in terms of production bonus, which is an incentive program for runner/gunners, when I read this thread.
People that show up every day on time, are the new runner/gunners.

Some supplements allow that if anyone is making anything other than the agreed amounts, all similar employees could be required to be paid the same.
Which supplements would those be?
