Back on track again...
The site needs to continue, or the teamsters need to step up and show much more involvement. I worked in IT for a long time, but would be reluctant to try to run the site on just Google AdWords. What the site needs is a sports betting branch. One IT guy, one backup (a mod,) a couple sport bracket guys (one on the business end, and one running the casino.)

That seems to be the working formula these days. Especially for a place that can only thrive on anonymity. Maybe allow two IDs, for the different parts of the site.

This is one of the more interesting ideas I've heard.

Unfortunately, I really don't think the necessary gambling licenses would be affordable or obtainable.
That and the regulatory hurdles.

I like the creativity though. If you have other ideas on how to keep the lights on, I like your thought processes.

That's probably a good and valuable thing within the contractor business model that (I think) you operate under since it'd be too costly for you to be constantly churning employees.

Employee feedback just doesn't seem to be valued at UPS. So people have to find their own solutions to problems. Or they can leave. And if this site goes down the connection between problems and advice/solutions is no longer centralized or in most cases, anonymous.

She had a kind way to keep everyone in line, and only dropped the hammer if she really had to!
Out of respect for all the years she devoted to bc, can we conduct ourselves the same way as before her passing?
I can imagine her feeling frustrated right now with what the petty bickering going on! We are adults and should be able to conduct ourselves as such, not as grade school kids!
I can think of certain folks would have been in mod que some time ago..

That was the convo we had years ago. She basically ignored the concerns I brought up.

I really haven’t kept up with you or your comments, but I do believe it’s telling that very few Who have been here for quite a while believes what you’re saying. Somehow you don’t have much credibility with people who have had quite a few dealings with you.

Big riding mowers use a lot of gallons per hour. Mine is nearly 30 hp.

It takes me about 4 hours to mow and weed eat my yard...to do it right....fences and such. Pool, shop, garden.....all these things require weed eating...lot of work...but looks nice and I'm proud of it.

I recently had a similar conversation(with Cheryl) that went like this: Cheryl: "I don't have time to monitor this website....If I get a complaint....you go on Q". And so. Obviously she had her pets and favs. Now, what happened/happens was that some Mods also had agendas(note I didn't say all) and politics of power has ensued. If you are on Q and a mod doesn't like you or whatever you have to say....they just won't publish your response. In effect censoring you. Yet, the bullying and abuse stands, many times viciously. There is no administrator and the Mods hands are tied until an Admin or the demise as I understand it.

The site has devolved into what some call bickering. I believe this is disingenuous if not absurd. BC is a playpen for a few folks without any censoring like others have to endure. Anyone with a modicum of ability can quickly discern who these folks are and how this site operates. Their MO's are as predictable as the sun rising. While somehow arbiting what should or who should be on this site.

Please publish this response. I realize Mod discussion is forbidden. Though not sure given the current circumstances. Thanks

Define "bickering".

One of my Old Guy plans was not to mow much. I used to do what you are doing.
I landscaped, left natural, graveled, and laid down a bunch of fabric when we built this house. Put sod down the sides of the driveway about 3-4 ft out.
I could probably cut it all with a pair of scissors in a half hour. But, I plug in my push mower to my extension cord and done in 10 minutes and drinking lemonade.
I love it when a plan comes together.

I prefer a riding tractor type-John Deere to be precise. A zero turn doesn't have much if any hitch/trailer ability. I can carry a large trailer and lots of dirt/stone whatever. I can almost buy 2 of my tractors to the 1 zero turns(of similar size). Zero turns are pricey$$$$ IMO.

I do wonder what a new owner or Admin would do. As you allude......there is no adherence to the TOS at this time. It is a small group without oversight. Well, mostly. There are political agendas(censorship) on one way paths by some.
