im not saying they didnt but the reason donald trump got elected is because liberals like hillary clinton and obama have sold out the working class americans since at least 1990s if not before then.

so i think the red scare deflected from that fact, and its also pushed the country to the right which is also bad for labour. if you recall history, american communists, socialists, and unions were responsible for FDR passing the new deal and for the unionization rate going up to 35%. they were swiftly destroyed with the red scare of hte 1950s i believe. reagan and bill clinton really pushed the country far right.

there was alot of hype about the russians in the media and it was just that.

what the american liberals and right wing have in common is they both externalize the blame for the nations woes. the real problem is money and power. not outsiders like ruskies and mexicans.

Keep holding to that if it gives you comfort. That race came down to Trump tirelessly campaigning in states Hillary assumed would vote for her and made almost no effort to campaign there. Enough Democrats in precincts that had faithfully voted Democrat for decades decided to try Trump. Note to candidates, if an area is suffering economically you don't say you're going to shut down their source of livelihood if you want their vote. And not a Russian in sight.

If Trump tries to unseat Biden by putting together some crazy collusion scheme like Obama did with him then yes I'd say there's a deep state conspiracy happening.

because democrats i believe starting in the 1990s or maybe before then sold out the working class to corporate interests.

so for example bill clinton raised corporate money on par with his republican adversary. obama surpassed biden in corporate fundraising. bill clinton gets most of hte blame in terms of who started it, he deregulated media, deregulated banks, blew up the prison population, passed NAFTA which is the worst anti worker legislation in 60 years, destroyed welfare, etc.

so clinton pushing democrats to the right pushed the republicans to the far right.

george mcgovern also called him to be considered for vice prez and nader refused. late 60s early 70s is was one of the most popular americans in national polls.
