How so? Sanctions enforced, weapons sent to Ukraine. What did the previous administration do?

Did you hear the president discussing getting out of Syria yesterday?

Who benefits from that?
And a lot of Republicans don't like it. We should be supporting the Kurds at the very least. But if we take on Assad's regime directly we are looking at war with Russia. And a lot of the people we do support there are the very same sort of people that caused us trouble in Iraq. It's a lose-lose proposition.

You could just come out and say it.

Putin benefits.

Putin and his puppet Assad.

You asked how Trump was being soft on Russia on the very day that Trump signaled ceding Syria’s future to Russia.

The U.S. under Trump went in and cleaned up ISIS. We aided Assad's enemies. Recently we killed over 200 Russian mercenaries who were aggressively approaching our troop positions in spite of warnings. To say Trump is soft on Putin when the Russians are in there because Obama didn't enforce his so called "Red Line" is laughable. But tell me, do you really want to get into direct conflict with a nuclear power that is paranoid about how it sees the world?

No. But what’s that got to do with North Korea?

Doing to Syria what W did to Iraq and Hillary-Barack did to Libya would further create a power vacuum for Al Qaeda and destabilizing the region. Russia has long since been an ally of Syria. Preventing it from getting Sodomizied by American Military is God's work.
