Thrift plan

Light 'em up!
I do recall the stock option----it was right before the IPO.

Correct.

Mine went into UPS stock, something like for every 5 shares bought, 1 share was OPL. (Some shady deal UPS had going on.)

Eventually, that OPL changed to UPS stock and their stock split 2 for 1.

It was $25 a share at the time the thrift plan was converted to stock, kept in an IRA.

Citi now controls that IRA.

My 500 shares split into 1000. With dividend re-investing, I am doing fine.

Yes, I know I'm working late.
You can tell who the old farts are by this thread. No talk about bully supes or peeing in bottles so they can run all 240 stops and still catch some spongebob.

I was stupid in that I took a few withdrawals years earlier from the Thrift Plan. I was in my early twenties and not planning on staying at UPS at the time. I did use the Transportation Industry Credit Union for a while to save money. I got 144 shares of stock that was put into a Traditional IRA. I also had a couple thousand put into some Mutual Funds at the time of the IPO.
