I'd have people approach me on road to inform me that I was parked in a red zone. I'd tell them that all I see are brown zones. They'd chuckle and leave me alone.

I will sometimes ask them where I should park. Then point out the hazards in those spots. After 2-3 spots they will understand why the red zone really is the green zone.
