UNION?

It's time to go Union, start calling and emailing teamsters. Are you tired of the unnecessary B.S. Unobtainable goals, middle management cluelessness. It's time to pay back management for making our jobs harder than it already is. I feel like going Union would be a good way to thank upper management for making our lives miserable.

Im assuming you work there? Im actually a bit shocked there isnt a union there now, why do you think that is?

just this little glitch called the Railway Labor Act. Combine that with a workforce which despite the slow pay progression and all the takeaways, still seems to have far too many (my own personal observation) employees with a "yeah I know it sucks but it could be worse and besides, I hate unions" attitude and there's really nothing shocking about it whatsover.

The problem is that doesn't just happen. At this point it will require a dramatic shift in the American culture. We live in an every man for himself country. No one is willing to sacrifice their own prosperity for the good of the collective. So we all just do what we can to get by and ignore the bigger picture.

You seem to paint all of America with a very broad brush.

No. Communism is extreme socialism with the state owning all property and industry. I was speaking more to our collective selfishness as a barrier to a healthy labor movement. Collectively the middle class would be better off with strong labor. Individually people are less willing to pay dues let alone risk their own job and well being to organize anti-union companies.

Individually speaking your are a collective dumba$$. No kidding, the middle class would be better off working under a union?? You mean to tell me people are scared to lose their jobs by trying to vote in a union?? Oh man what a revalation. The adults are trying to have a discussion here. Plz go.

There are also a lot of older couriers who are close to retirement and just want to keep the status quo. Not all but certainly a lot.

So the "adults" lob personal insults and contribute nothing to the discussion. Got it, thanks.
There's a difference between working under a union and the existence of strong labor. Try to pay attention.
