WOW. but not really. The current Teamster leadership at the national level is and has been garbage. They are real pieces of work. I hope we as hourlys are all missing something. Hopefully BUG has the inside scoop. Maybe UPS fully funded the UPSF pensions for the next 10-15 years.

Maybe UPS and the Teamsters sold UPSF down the road to secure a 40 hour work week for all RPCDs? Maybe UPS and the IBT agreed to delete the provision in the CBA that states more Saturday 22.4s can be added if needed.......while not addressing laid off Monday RPCDs?

How in the heck could the Teamsters have a Bundles(parcel) semi driver making ~$38+ an hour and a UPSF driver doing basically the same job for ~$33 an hour?

Horrible.

Hopefully, the Hoffa regime is voted out. Hopefully the IBT constitution is amended or changed.

I understand that UPSF and UPS are not under the same CBA.

They are/were under the same company controlled union.

Not surprised by this news in the least.

Garbage.
How will they replace dues lost?

There is will be a lot of feeder drivers leaving dodge over the next two years. Should be openings for over the road drivers in the package division..The Union can work out an agreement to get you guys first shot, if you want to continue with UPS...

Our contract ends in 2 years. Based on how much money is being thrown at automated semis and how fast it's already advanced and also rules being slacked I think it will be sooner then people think.
What do you mean by "sooner"? 50 years? And what does automated mean? Who is going to unload an LTL delivery? How will this work exactly? Cool to think about but this isn't the Jetsons....

10 years max. Who's going to unload it? Well if there is still a union it will be a part time guy otherwise it will be some employee. 5 years ago no one said amazon would be doing what they are now because I believe the argument was ups has been around 100 years or the other arguement was you cant just throw money at something.
