You are not required to wear shorts. You can still wear long pants with other socks.

UPS has previously had optional uniforms you could buy on your own. Most went away with the increased security after 9/11.

When they were first introduced as an optional uniform item we had to buy them if we wanted to wear them.

It wasn’t that hard to alter a pair of pants.

When we first got shorts we had to pay $20 a pair for them. Somebody may have accidentally cut the legs off of my pants.

I still have a couple dozen shirts, Pants and Shorts.

I just cut the top part off the UPS socks and use it to cover the much more comfortable socks I normally wear. I’ve had one pair of UPS socks for three and a half years now.
