Vaccine distribution

You want a toe? I can get you a toe.
Wife and I had this discussion the other night. She’s in the healthcare field and got her vaccine a few days ago.

We both agree that the elderly should have been first in line not healthcare workers. As I thought more about it though why are we going through groups of people and not doing a regional distribution?

We could do much more to slow the spread of this if we were concentrating these early doses in regional hotspots.

Do you need an air compressor or tire gauge

U.S. officials said at Wednesday's briefing that about 2 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine will be allocated for the country next week, fewer than the 2.9 million available this week when the first shots shipped. They offered no explanation.

Because without healthcare workers, this country is friend. Don't understand why that's hard for you to understand.

But why? They aren’t that vulnerable? They aren’t dying all over.

Sure in some areas systems are stressed but you could do more by mass distribution of vaccines to the general public in those areas than you’re going to do by treating healthcare workers all over.

This isn’t widespread crazy spread. In fact many places have had their peak and numbers are reducing.

So you hit the places like California hard with vaccines. Sure include the healthcare workers there but it makes no sense to just automatically say all healthcare workers first

If the healthcare workers gets sick they won't have anyone left to administer the vaccine.

If you look at the mouth of deaths from Covid-19 The elderly is the most vulnerable to death.

The healthcare workers are the ones coming in close contact with covid patients.

Yep they’ll just all magically die if they wait a little bit before they get vaccinated. Lol

We already knew you were completely incapable of critical thought but try not to make it so obvious.

Like I said you can vaccinate the healthcare workers in the hard hit areas. But it doesn’t make sense to just blanket do them first. Many places aren’t having issues and are on a clear slope down.

Plus this has been going on for almost a year now you don’t think most healthcare workers have already been exposed a number of times and many have already had it.

Not to mention how many vaccine doses are being wasted on people that already have it and have immunity? We could be doing such a better job is strategically distributing it.

You can't have outbreaks in the healthcare industry, regardless of individual outcomes. It will simply break the system. It's no wonder you come from an ass backwards thinking part of the country.

Most if not all healthcare workers have access to regular testing and antibody testing. Pretty much all know if they have had it or not.

The public never gets vaccines early, it is always health workers then it will be residents of nursing homes then important people

Another thing you're missing is a large portion of the country doesn't trust the vaccines. Trying vaccinate the general population without healthcare workers first is asking for a huge failure.
