You need to learn to cope with it. There is social anxiety and there is introversion. You don't always have to put yourself out there, but sometimes you have to make a step or you're only making that anxiety worse. Confidence starts now, because if you're uncomfortable talking to your supervisor about a bad back, you're going to have a really tough qualifying period.

I don't doubt that you have social anxiety, but that's not an excuse in this case. These are the people you work with. You messed up. That's all there is to it. Everybody screws up at some point. Shake it off, and go about your business. Eventually it will fade out of your mind, and you won't worry about it anymore. Don't worry about the warning letter. Don't get anymore no-call no-shows to the best of your ability. And go to a doctor and get checked out. Take care of yourself.
