Borges served as chairman of the Ohio Republican Party from April 2013 to January 2017, replacing Kevin DeWine. Borges also managed Dave Yost’s 2014 re-election campaign for state auditor; served as chief of staff to State Treasurer Joe Deters; worked on the McCain-Palin 2008 presidential campaign; worked for the Office of the Vice President under Dick Cheney from 2001 to 2007; managed the 2010 GOP primary bid for Bob Gibbs for Congress; consulted for the National Republican Congressional Committee in 1992, 2000 and 2010.

so now you admit you conviently overlooked him in your partisan attack. better late then never i guess

You guys need to look beyond the players involved and at the longer term issues and their potential outcomes such as:

What changes to the law may be forthcoming given that Householder stands accused of using a 501-C4 an exemption design exclusively for the creation of non profits whose sole intent is for charitable socially beneficial initiatives? Householder created Generation Now using a 501-C4 because the names of donors don't have to be publicly disclosed.

What is the future of HB 6 as well as the future of Davis Besse, Perry Nuclear and the coal plants that can't compete in the deregulated utility rate market for which HB 6 provided them with monthly residential utility bill surcharges? In addition it blocked state funds being used to create renewable energy supplies. In addition will rate payers sue to recover the surcharges they've paid leaving Energy Harbor and it's debt holders to figure out for themselves how to get competitive?

What if anything did Energy Harbor and it's prior to bankruptcy owner First Energy Solutions and it's holding company First Energy know about what Householder and his little munchkins were doing?

Forget about Householder and his alleged gang of perpetrators . Guys like them come and go all the time. What happens to average Ohio ratepayers is what matters.

thats Ohio's problem . Hell we got congresswoman marrying their brothers in immigration fraud and you snowflakes never express any outrage

Your response is among the lamest I've seen out of you lately. As the U.S. attorney spearheading investigation pointed out,the charges against Householder and his co defendants represents the largest bribery and racketeering case in the history of Ohio. Worst of all he used a rule of law created specifically to help charitable nonprofits to carry out their humanitarian missions to create and facilitate his scheme in the pursuit of power and personal wealth.

Now if you're talking about Ilhan Omar's rumored marriage to her brother isn't that a Minnesota problem? Same as what's going on in Ohio, Ohio's problem? BTW the reason why you never hear anymore regarding her alleged marriage to her brother is because the allegation couldn't be proven or disproven one way or the other. Then again where you come from hasn't the marriage of cousins been a long accepted practice?

ah so you knew what i was talking about but did not feel any outrage over the liberal lawbreakers fraudulent activities. just as i thought
The accusation surrounding Omar's alleged sibling marriage originated on social media but when investigative journalists went back to study the accusation the social media posting had been erased and the limited other evidence required to back that claim wasn't sufficient to support any conclusion one way or the other.
Sorry if I don't feel any outrage when there's no solid evidence to support a social media generated accusation.
The decision on whether to grant Ms. Omar another term is something the voters in her district will decide in November.
I don't live in her district.......Do you?

The reason nobody is following this story anymore is because the woman was born in Somalia and birth records are not always the most accurate up to date or readily available. Now if you think that there's conclusive proof of immigration fraud then why haven't you found it and. turned over to law enforcement?. ......Oh I see. In your mind's eye it's another conspiracy whereby the Democrat's have all conspired to keep those records hidden.

Oh BTW. I don't live in Ohio but I have been a First Energy shareholder since 1978 when it was simply Ohio Edison a small well managed public utility. And in those 42 years I've put up with every poor judgement inspired bad publicity you could imagine. From huge regional black outs to poorly executed buy outs to heavy NFC fines to moves into deregulated utility market and back to the regulated market to dividend cuts, to environmental failings etc etc.

The news about Householder and Generation Now is nothing new . The difference now is that a Republican house speaker in a GOP controlled legislature conspired to use a troubled Ohio based utility in a "pay for play" scheme. The problem facing FE is that it's generation costs from running a bunch of old nukes and coal plants are too high. And when this is all over more than 4000 people will be out of a job if FE has to go from a power generation company to strictly a power supplier company . It's something they should have done years earlier rather than to seek a surcharge supported bailout.

El Correcto

god is dead
Only 60 million?
That is chump change compared to what democrats openly propose and want to put into the pockets on their lobbyists.
Ohio is getting off easy if thats all.

Just another conspiracy theory. And like all conspiracy theories that are not backed backed proven facts they simply fade away and quickly at that.

thats a classic deflection from the corruption and dishonesty of your party. No accountability for the democrats.
