I got schnit one time cause this big 300 lb chick tried to buy 3 boxes of fried chicken from the deli in the grocery store...and food stamps doesn't cover that. Wut choo mean, bi**h??? Chicken is food! Sorry ma'am...while my taxes pay for the food that keeps your that large...I don't make the rules.

Don't you love standing in line at the cash register behind one of those people with 2 cartloads of food and they are buying steaks with food stamps? Then they have plenty of cash to pay for the stuff they buy that EBT card won't pay for.

Believe me...you can tell the people who are genuinely embarrassed at being on gov't assistance. I had this customer once...young girl..maybe 20,with an infant. She was trying to buy formula and a few other food items with WIC checks. WIC is very specific as to what brand and size of products they cover. It was her first time and she was confused and obviously embarrassed. I went with her to the baby aisle to help her find the right formula.

There are people who genuinely need and deserve assistance but there are far too many others who game the system and feel it is owed to them.

Fraud accounts for less than 3% of the total. There is more fraud in in many other parts of our government. Defense comes immediately to mind.

More 'welfare fraud' is actually through medicaid/medicare, and it is doctors/clinics/corporations that are committing it, not poor people.
