What Is The Teamsters Official Position On Socialized Medicine?

Just wondering if the union explained its position on this issue since they endorsed Biden, and he is campaigning on universal coverage: aka-single payer.

Biden's vp pick-Harris, is on record saying private insurance, like what Teamsters enjoy, must be banned.

So does the union leadership believe the socialist approach is the way to go?

Don’t see the Teamsters giving up “teamcare”
without a fight

it’s the golden goose
The fight is in who you elect, and these people are not hiding what they are planning.

They get the votes and Teamcare is out. Your paycheck is the same but now you are forced to fund new taxes to pay fot the program.

Biden is not campaigning on single payer, so your premise is wrong.

You heard a commercial on one of your right-wing talk radio shows that says Biden is a socialist? Quick, someone call the Teamsters!
It was on TLC.

Well done spot. They edited him so you couldn't even tell he was losing his memory.

Saw a commercial that mentioned universal coverage. That's socialized medicine buzz talk.
He wants a Medicare option for everyone, even people who get insurance through their employer. Obviously this incentivizes companies to offer garbage plans so their employees choose the Medicare option, pushing everyone towards socialized medicine, which is the goal.

Even Crazy Bernie, the architect of the Biden platform said we can't afford Medicare for all.

It would definitely level the playing field against a lot of our non Union competition. Open up the door for higher wages and pensions.

I know for us, we literally have the best health insurance out there. To me, it doesnt matter. I think everyone should have what we have and could do a lot of good for the country as a whole. Imagine not being forced to take a job soley for the insurance. Imagine that.

A government run system will never be as good what we have now. It will be worse. Cost will rise, quality will fall, and rationing will begin.

Other countries do it and do it well. I'm not saying it will be as good but it will benefit this country by helping everyone out. It'll be good so long as they do a model similar to even that of Canada. You pay more in taxes but if companies like Amazon paid taxes, our taxes wouldn't have to be raised astronomically
