What to do when Steward isn't filling grievances and won't give you paper to file new one.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.
15 year hourlie and the union got a 2 year employee who put his hands on me
Said 1 day suspension was enough after he was escorted out of building after admitting to putting hands on me.

Union told me no big deal and they would duke it out in the parking lot of that was me not lose your job.

Also talked down on me, said i shouldnt be stacking packages, it was my fault according to them.

Well? Did you want him to lose his job?
Of course i did. Actually 1 week prior we had an incident that I reported where he jumped on the belt and pretended to make me flinch by punching me. Nothing happened. And then the incident happened.

Union protected him

I told the union slugs this and they told me i wouldnt want to get ya fired, wed duke itnout in the parking lot.

Theyre a bunch of low lives. Btw 15 yesr hourlie, and they talked down to me like a dog, and said a 1 day suspension is good enough for the other guy.

Never in all my years have I ever heard a business agent tell me how I should do a UPS job. I’ve always been told follow direction file a grievance if you don’t like it. naturally, if it’s unsafe, I’m not going to do it even if I instructed to, but I’m not certain stacking is unsafe in all situations.

This isn’t an attack. This is an interrogation. You’re the one telling us about this incident, and we’re only getting one side. Your story doesn’t sound common at all. I’m just telling you I’ve been here 30 years and that’s how I see it. Regardless moving forward I would stay away from that employee if I were you you’re honestly lucky you’re both not fired.

I wa picking off and he got mad i was stacking packages and some were falling on the floor. Thats it. Stuff that happens in every hub n the country. He put his hands on me and he got escorted out. Union got hisnjob back because in the statement i wrote i admitted to stacking packages which is against safety policy (a steward later told me to never write a statement).

Why is this hard for you to believe?
